As the World Turns...

I have been away for a little while.  I was put in a position where I had to sit still.  I was on a path that was good, but not the absolute best for me.  I had a great job, was with great company, and I knew it wasn’t the BEST, but I had it figured out.  I was going to make it work.  You know:  tweek this and move that.  That little plan of mine was unacceptable because it was all snatched.  Yes snatched!  One week I had a job and the next week I didn't.  My great company conveniently became unavailable.  I did not understand it, and I may never, but I don’t have to.  I believe in divine intervention.  I now understand that it all happened for a reason and I owe it to myself and my purpose to LISTEN & FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. 

I knew better.  In some areas, I had made the choice to force an issue because I was in the mindset that it “must” happen.  All signs pointed to “don’t do it” or “slow down” but I kept pushing and ended up hurting myself in the end.  This time I’m sitting on my bottom, most times on my knees, and opening my ears/eyes/mind/heart for guidance.  I am so used to being super busy and now my schedule is very open.  I have been able to spend time with my family, pick up some new hobbies, get healthier, and reflect.  I also have gotten connected and built relationships with those that can be resources going forward.  I am excited about what is to come and know that I am being prepped. 

So if your “right now” sounds similar to my words above, make sure you stay encouraged.  Keep your heart, mind, and spirit focused and in the right place(s).  Don’t worry so much about figuring things out as much as what you can do to ensure there are no repeats.  Learn from your experience and build.  I promise that the pain and delays are temporary, but necessary.  You are far from Humpty Dumpty.  You can be put back together, restored, elevated, delivered, & preserved.  In the words of Bishop Withers of Unity Christian Fellowship, “He Broke Me to Bless Me” (8/7/13 Bible Study).
