If you have ever exercised, you have probably
heard that phrase. Since I have been
busting my buns at Inferno Fitness, I hear it almost
daily. Either what I’m doing focuses
directly on strengthening my core or what I am doing cannot be done better,
faster, or longer without one. A strong core
is viewed as an indication of a sexy and healthy body, but it is important for so
many other reasons.
-Everyday acts-On-the-job tasks
-A healthy back
-Sports and other pleasurable activities (power and flexibility)
-Housework, fix-it work, and gardening
-Balance and stability
-Good posture (trims your silhouette and projects confidence)
That’s simple enough. Now, I want you to consider the concept of having a strong core. Many times during my process of fighting fat
and burning calories, I wonder “Why in the world am I doing this?!?!” But when I think of an answer, I think of my core. Not my abs and torso, but the core of me as
an individual. It is the combination of things
that are vital to my existence and progression in life. My core is made up
of: my spiritual connection, knowledge
and brain power, emotions, body, and relationships.
The outcome of every situation and the depth
of every experience are directly related to the strength of my core. If I don’t pray, my mind is off, emotions are
all over the place, I’m not educated about things, don’t take care of my body,
and treat people wrong, my life is a complete mess. But when I press toward the mark, FOCUS,
research & learn, manage my emotions appropriately, maintain my body, and
love people, the universe welcomes me with open arms.
What is your core made of? How strong is it? Does it keep you motivated, stable,
confident, flexible, and healthy in all areas from day to day? If not, what can you do to make it stronger? Your individual core has the same benefits
that a physical one does. Put in work
and enhance your life... or simply begin living.
Until next time… Andrea
